Sleep: advice - from experts - for better sleep

 Sleep: advice - from experts - for better sleep

I learned that a good sleep is put in condition with a good hygiene of life, so the hygiene of life indicates the act for a person, to voluntarily follow gestures and habits in his daily life, and this in order to stay in good health.

Disturbed sleep is not a "spell", and if each of us decides to follow certain "rules", or - at least - follow some advice, the happiness of a good night's sleep will undoubtedly be restored.

To sleep better, let's try to follow the following tips:

·        Let's avoid caffeine: coffee, tea, cocoa… foods that are stimulating, but also “existing” foods, so let's abstain from this “active substance” at least 8 hours before going to bed;

·         Relaxing herbal teas: from time to time and in moderation, a "sweet" herbal tea, chamomile, fennel seeds… generally helps us to relax…and more details on this point, by clicking on the following link: https://www.cema-vie.com/2019/10/tisanes-remedes-naturels.html

·         Let's try to eat healthy: especially in the evening. At dinner, let's try not to eat too fatty, too salty, or even too sweet (for dessert)… Also, 3 hours before going to bed, let's not “swallow” anything;

·         Let's stop working 2 hours before sleeping: if we do “telework” or for those who work at home (seamstress for example), let's organize ourselves to “stop” our activities well before sleeping;

·         Let's dispense with screens, 1 hour before sleeping : this is no longer obvious - currently - but the use of smartphones, computers or television in the middle of the night is linked to an increase in sleep disorders; even if, supposedly, there are "anti-blue light" applications, it is better to avoid any screen;

·         Let's read in bed: reading is of great benefit to us; indeed, it reduces stress, and we read it, we educate ourselves and we give ourselves a "good" moment of calm; and we say that "it allows you to have sweet dreams"  ;

·         A lukewarm shower or bath: to calm down, we offer this relaxation;

·         No physical activity in the evening: let's schedule our sports sessions in the morning or during the lunch break or at least 2 hours before going to bed.

·         Let's try to forget our concerns: it's easy to say, but let's leave our burdens, our troubles and all our worries overnight ... Just time to rest, and "who knows" the next day what we have in store.

Thus, a good night's sleep is one of the most influential "treatments" there is, since:

ü It increases our energy;

ü It reduces our stress;

And the greatest joy is to wake up in good shape and good humor.
