Recipe: Gluten-free chocolate dessert
Recipe: Gluten-free chocolate dessert
I learned this recipe from the web, but with my own personal touch,
after noticing my well-being when eating gluten-free; in fact, I feel
increasingly "lighter" and I no longer have bloating in my stomach.
This dessert has no added sugar, and is based on only two (2)
ingredients, namely chocolate and rice, but it is – absolutely – possible to
make your creative contribution; let's follow the following together:
Ingredients:
· 100g of dark chocolate (which you can
replace with milk chocolate);
· 60g of raw rice (I used white rice);
Optional: as additions to your choice:
· 1
tablespoon of roasted and ground almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts…;
· Candied
cherries, coconut, or even flaked almonds for decoration.
· 1
tablespoon of yogurt (plain or flavored).
Preparation:
· Cook
the rice : I learned to put at the same time – in a saucepan –
one measure of rice with two measures of water, and put on medium heat for 10
minutes, then cover for 5 minutes (on the heat off): this is how I get
“properly cooked” rice. For this recipe, I did not add salt ;
· Drain
then put this rice in a blender;
· Flake
the chocolate : in a bain-marie or in the microwave (I added a tablespoon of
walnut oil);
· Pour
into the blender (on the rice);
· Mix
it all together… and that’s it;
· Put
in ramekins (you can add ground
dried fruit, as noted above in the ingredients) ,
· Decorate
as you like, then keep refrigerated.
And there you have it, a delicious and “healthy” dessert, like a
“chocolate mousse” with a light texture, to be enjoyed cold.
The ancient Greek physician and philosopher Hippocrates said: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be
thy food” … and enjoy your meal.
