Recipe: Sugar-free and gluten-free cookies
Recipe: Sugar-free and gluten-free cookies
I
learned this recipe from the web, but with my own personal touch, to try to
stay fit and light by eating "healthily", and this kind of recipe is
growing, fortunately, day by day.
These
delicious cookies have no added sugar and no flour (or semolina…), and can be
made with – just – two ingredients : dates and coconut.
Note
that dates are an "important" source of dietary fibers, and have
antioxidant effectiveness; rich in carbohydrates, these fruits quickly provide
energy and promote digestive well-being, let’s see the recipe:
Ingredients :
· 7
dates;
· ½ glass
of coconut (about 50g);
Optional * :
· 2
tablespoons of raisins or chocolate chips, crushed nuts…
Preparation :
· Steam
the dates (and raisins) for (15) fifteen minutes: to make them more tender;
· Put
these dates, while still hot, into a blender or mixer;
· Add –
on top – the coconut;
· Mix to
obtain a paste;
And
that's it...
· You can
add one of the optional additives (*) then mix;
· Wet
your hands to take “piles” which you place on a tray lined with baking paper;
you can use a tablespoon;
· Adjust
– on paper – to have circles;
· Bake in
an oven preheated to 180° for a maximum of 15 minutes;
· After
fifteen minutes, remove from the oven and let them cool before storing them in
an airtight container : keep – preferably – in a cool place.
These
"pleasant" biscuits are - certainly - high in calories but very
beneficial, so they should still be consumed in moderation.
And as
the quote says: "A healthy body is a must... otherwise we cannot
keep our minds strong and clear." ...and enjoy your
meal.
