 A gluten-free and sugar-free dessert: dates stuffed with walnuts

I learned this recipe, thank God, myself, and I believe it is one of the simplest and easiest dessert recipes to make, for a delicious "  healthy  " "treat".

These "  treats  " can be made with three ingredients or even two, but still in moderation, especially for diabetics or those who don't want to gain weight, and this will be detailed after the recipe, let's see together:

Ingredients :

·        Dates;

·        Walnut kernels;

·        Chocolate for icing: for those with a sweet tooth.

Preparation :

·        Remove the pits from the dates;

·        Fill each one with one or half a walnut kernel;

·        Coat in melted icing chocolate (melted in a bain-marie);

·        Let it dry;

·        Enjoy warm or cold, WITH RESERVATION , while reading – please – the following:

According to nutrition experts,  2 to 3 dates stuffed with a walnut kernel are enough for a balanced snack; to be consumed – preferably in the middle of meals, with or without chocolate.

For diabetics, please limit yourself to "just one", given that dates are rich in natural sugar, but moderate consumption is crucial.

Combining a date with a walnut kernel makes a delicious little treat, both indulgent and nutritious. Here are its main benefits:

1.     Fast and lasting energy: The date is a source of natural sugars (glucose, fructose) for an instant boost, while the walnut, rich in good lipids, increases satiety, therefore ideal before exercise or in case of fatigue.

2.      A healthy alternative to industrial sweets: No added sugar or additives, yet still delicious.

3.     The date is packed with essential nutrients: potassium, magnesium, fiber; and the walnut with omega-3, protein, vitamin E → Together they cover several nutritional needs in one bite .

4.      Facilitates digestion: The fiber in dates facilitates intestinal transit, while nuts also provide fiber and good fats beneficial for the microbiota.

5.      Good for the heart : The omega-3s in nuts help reduce bad cholesterol, while the potassium in dates helps control blood pressure.

6.      Natural “appetite suppressant” effect:  This combination reduces “cramping” thanks to the balance of sugar + fat + fiber.

Finally, I chose a quote saying "Health is not valued till sickness comes"

… and enjoy your meal.
